Alberto Fernandez reiterated his call for the release of hostages in Gaza

President Alberto Fernandez published petitions in foreign newspapers to demand the release of those kidnapped by the Hamas group, including 21 Argentines. With the conviction that these efforts are more effective when they are done together, I am in coordination with other countries in the region with whom we agree on the need for the immediate release of the hostages and to end the terrible consequences of the conflict on Israeli and Palestinian women, children and civilians,” said the statement shared by the president. In addition, on Friday morning, the president, from the Quinta de Olivos, held a meeting by videoconference with relatives of the Argentines kidnapped by Hamas, within the framework of the global campaign and the actions carried out by the Government with the aim of “being released unconditionally and immediately.” We have published petitions in Israeli newspapers, in the Arab world, and in the United States and Europe. It is part of a global action that demands the immediate and unconditional release of the victims kidnapped by the terrorist actions of the Hamas Group, in particular the Argentines,” Fernandez said on the social network X (formerly Twitter), a message accompanied by a video where the texts are seen in newspapers such as the New York Times and The Jerusalem Post. “With Foreign Minister Santiago Cafiero, I communicated with relatives of deceased and kidnapped Argentines. From the national government, we are doing everything in our power to end so much pain so that the hostages can soon be with their families,” he said. My priority and that of the entire government is the safety of the hostages so that they can be reunited with their families,” said the head of state.
