“Parasite” actor Lee Sung-kyung dies at 48 – MonitorExpresso.com

South Korean actor Lee Sung-kyung, known for his role in the Oscar-winning film Parasite, has been found dead in Seoul, authorities have confirmed.
The 48-year-old actor was found passed out in a car in a large park in South Korea’s capital on Wednesday.
It’s unclear if Lee killed himself, but police said they received reports that he left the house after writing the note.
Since October, the actor has been under investigation for possible drug use, in fact the news outlet Yonhap reported that he was suspected of having used drugs such as marijuana and ketamine with a waitress at a bar in Seoul.
Lee has said that although he took what she gave him, he didn’t know it was illegal drugs.
The waitress allegedly told police that Lee had used drugs at her home several times, but Lee denied it.
He had previously requested a polygraph test through his attorney.
His drug test results were negative or inconclusive, the report adds.
Finally, police said they were sorry Lee had died in the middle of the investigations, but that the investigation had been “conducted with [su] consent.”
Lee’s agency, HODU&U Entertainment, said in a statement, “There is no way to contain the pain and despair. We respectfully ask you to refrain from spreading false facts based on speculation… To make the final journey [de Lee] don’t be unfair.”
