Grabois accused Milei’s government of being “totalitarian”

Days before the debate in the Extraordinary Sessions regarding the bill promoted by President Javier Milei during the last week, Juan Grabois questioned the constitutionality of the bill and maintained that the Liberal leads “a totalitarian government.” They proposed dollars and that the pesos were not going to be devalued, the pesos are more devalued than ever and you are not going to see a dollar in your lifetime; they promised more freedom and say that a meeting of more than three people is a demonstration, that is a totalitarian government; they said they were coming to control inflation and they stab you with 35% monthly inflation,” began the leader of the Excluded Workers Movement (MTE) in radio statements. Along these lines, Grabois said that he does not remember “such brutal measures in such a short time,” and warned that even the sectors that reject Milei’s actions are not fully organized. “There is a sector that is organized in trade union and social institutions, and political parties that today have the obligation to mark the disastrous effects that the measures are going to have and that are not yet felt, they are going to be felt in March,” he said. Likewise, the MTE leader described the DNU and Milei’s bill as “unconstitutional, illegal and strongly anti-popular measures,” and remarked that “they said that they came to control inflation and they stab you with 35% monthly inflation.” The excuse that you have to suffer for a while and then it will be resolved, we heard it so many times in Argentine history and it never worked,” he added later, and sentenced that the omnibus law “is not a megalaw, it is the abolition of the National Constitution.”
