United States. – This Thursday, January 11, marks the twentieth anniversary of the premiere of the first episode of Drake and Josh, one of the Nickelodeon series most remembered by the public of yesteryear.

On January 11, 2004, the pilot episode of the teen sitcom was released, which narrated the misadventures of two half-brothers, and with only four seasons won the hearts of the Mexican public.

It should be remembered that this series emerged as a spin off, based on a sketch from the series ‘The Amanda Show’, a program in which Drake and Josh participated for the first time together and was headed by actress Amanda Bynes that remained on the air from 1999 to 2002.

The teen series, which was a ratings phenomenon, tells the story of Drake Parker and Josh Nichols, two teenagers with opposing personalities who have to learn to live together after becoming stepbrothers.

Classic phrases from the sitcom, such as “Hey, quiet old man”, are still used by young people who grew up with this story, the series, which had a total of 56 episodes and four seasons, had as its main theme “I Found a Way”, a composition by Drake Bell and Michael Corcoran, dating back to 2003, and its success led the actor to grow his musical career.
