World. – Mayor Edwin Bojórquez Ramírez revealed the list of artists who will participate in the Kanasín Carnival 2024 with the theme “Transform your Dreams”. Among the attendees is Wendy Guevara.
The official noted that in the 2023 edition, around half a million people attended and expressed his expectation of significantly exceeding that figure in 2024.
He also stressed that a special security and surveillance operation will be implemented during the days of the Kanasín Carnival 2024 to safeguard the many attendees. “We had positive results last year by achieving a white balance and we hope to repeat it in 2024,” he said.
At the press conference, the children’s monarchs were presented: Jimena I and Jesús I; persons with disabilities: Elena I and Maximus I; seniors: Nena I and Gonzalo I; from the LGBT Community: Francely I; and the official sovereigns: Rocío I and Gregorio I.
The festivities will begin on Saturday, February 10 with the coronation of the sovereigns at 6 p.m. on the ground floor of the municipal palace, followed by a free popular dance with the performance of the Super Lamas at 10 p.m.
On February 11, known as Fantasy Sunday, the parade will begin at 1 p.m. from the welcome arch, with the special participation of host and singer Esmeralda Ugalde, as well as actor and model Sebastián Rulli. At the end of the parade, the musical group Fresa y la Sentencia y Estampida Musical will perform.
On February 12, during Regional Monday, the parade will begin at 7 p.m. starting from the Monument to the Jaraneros. At the end, the comedy show of Ruperta Perez Sosa will take place on the ground floor of the municipal palace at 10:00 pm.
On Tuesday the 13th, in the Battle of the Flowers, the parade will begin at 1 p.m., with the participation of Influencer Wendy Guevara and model Nicola Porcella. At 7 p.m., at the Alfonso Palma field, Edwin Luna’s Trakalosa de Monterrey will be presented.
Importantly, all events will be free of charge.
