Honoring the memory of those who marked the free and sovereign origin of Michoacán, task of the 75th legislature: Anabet Franco – MonitorExpresso.com

Morelia, Michoacán. – Honoring the memory of those who made it possible for Michoacán to be part of Mexico, as a free and sovereign state, will be the great task of the Organizing Committee of the Commemoration and Celebration of the Bicentennial of the First Constituent Congress of the State of Michoacán de Ocampo, as well as the Promulgation of the Constitution of the Free Federated State of Michoacán, said Deputy Anabet Franco Carrizales, president of the Political Coordination Board (Jucopu) of the State Congress, through a statement.
The local legislator, who will head the Committee, reported that with the work and events that will be carried out, they will honor the memory not only of those legislators who “gave us our own identity, but all Michoacans who with their struggle made possible the dream of forming one of the states of the federation, free, sovereign and integral of the Mexican nation.”
The legislator stressed that Michoacán has been the cradle of the thought of the liberators and heroes of our country, such as Don Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla and Don José María Morelos y Pavón, heroes formed by the primitive and national Colegio de San Nicolás.
Franco Carrizales explained that on July 19, 2025, it will be 200 years since the birth of the legal life of the state of Michoacán, as established in the Political Constitution of the state of Michoacán, sanctioned by the first constituent legislators and promulgated by the then political head of the state, Antonio de Castro. who would become the first Michoacan governor.
