More than 100,000 people enjoyed Cosquín Rock

This last edition will be remembered as the largest and most diverse in history, materialized with two days that also had moments of fraternity between artists and saw situations of friendship and commitment with Cosquín Rock such as when Ciro made Tete de La Renga take the stage so that the public could greet him because it was his birthday. Los Caligaris also had a lot of colleagues (Piti and Bochi from Las Pastillas del abuelo; Ale Kurtz of El Bordo; Yami Safdie, among others) to share ‘Asado y Fernet’, and of course the show that Los Pericos proposed making songs with Natalie Pérez, Los Auténticos Decandentes, Ke Personajes and Sebastián Teysera from La Vela Puerca and more. There were strong musical moments where classic Argentine rock songs were reinterpreted. For example, Tiago PZK did ‘Crimen’ by Gustavo Cerati, Dillom ‘Señor Cobranza’ by Las Manos de Filippi, Damas Gratis ‘El Mono Relojero’ by Kapanga, Los Decadentes ‘La Rubia Tarada’ by Sumo and ‘Costumbres Argentinas’ by Los Abuelos de la nada’ living a true celebration of Argentine music. Some facts:- The Festival mobilized more than $ 21 billion.
– Cosquín Rock 2024 took place on 14 hectares, the largest area in Latin America used for a festival.
– The six scenarios submitted 106 proposals.
– 90 thousand liters of water were delivered free of charge. In that sense, both the sunny day 1 and the clear day (after a storm that passed quickly) day 2, were dressed with elegance and party both for those who traveled for the first time to Cosquín Rock, and for those people who already lived the experience on other occasions, fulfilling the challenge of being the mountain with the most agitation in the country. Gastronomic production gained time. The facilities to enter the festival, and charge the wristbands allowed you to fully enjoy the offers of the 7 stages arranged in an increasingly large venue, with other experiences and novelties to share with friends or enjoy with family. Likewise, Cosquín Rock mobilized an impressive figure of more than $ 21 billion, definitively consolidating itself as an economic and cultural engine within the Cultural and Creative Industries. It is worth noting that the total volume is built with the sum of the company’s investment and the public’s consumption both inside and outside the festival. The festival not only generates employment and income during its implementation, but also fully promotes the tourism transformation in the host region. In addition, it stands out for its unwavering commitment to sustainability. In this 2024 edition, it is once again leading the sector by carrying out its exhaustive triple impact study in which its environmental influence and great economic and socio-cultural impact are evaluated. The triple impact study was developed by the Research and Extension area of the Institute of Contemporary Culture, for the third consecutive year, it offers essential information on the profile of the attending public and its cultural consumption. From the sustainability area of the festival, various issues related to the environment were analyzed, such as the carbon footprint, waste management and the care and mitigation of the impact on biodiversity. Although the final results of the study will be officially presented in the coming weeks, the first figures already ratify the constant growth and relevance of Cosquín Rock in the national and Latin American cultural and economic panorama.
