SSM guarantees medical care during the holiday weekend – MonitorExpresso.com

Morelia, Michoacán. – The Ministry of Health of Michoacán (SSM) will not suspend medical or emergency services during this holiday weekend, commemorating the birth of Benito Juárez, as reported through a statement. Comprehensive medical care for the population is guaranteed through on-call personnel and accumulated working hours so that services in health centers and hospitals are not affected. The scheduled daily consultation is the only one to be suspended and resumes from March 19; The Emergency Department will be open 24 hours a day in all hospitals and health centers with expanded services. During the holiday weekends, medical emergencies are increased due to car accidents caused by alcohol abuse and speeding, sprains and falls, as well as gastrointestinal poisoning due to the consumption of food prepared without the necessary hygiene. For this reason, the Regulatory Center for Medical Emergencies (CRUM) remains alert with its 30 ground ambulances to act immediately in the event of any emergency that arises. The call is reiterated to Michoacans to take care of their health, consuming healthy food to avoid gastrointestinal diseases and to motorists to drive with caution; as well as wearing a seat belt and avoiding drunk driving.
