“Land of Women” arrives, the series starring and produced by Eva Longoria

Apple TV+ announced the new series “Land of Women,” which will be produced by and starring Eva Longoria. This was indicated in a press release, where they reported that it will have six episodes and that it will hit the screen on Wednesday, June 26, 2024.Inspired by the novel by author Sandra Barneda, it follows the story of Gala, an empty-nesting New Yorker whose life is turned upside down when her husband implicates the family in financial irregularities and is forced to flee the city with her elderly woman mother (Maura) and her teenage daughter (Bazúa). To escape the dangerous criminals to whom the now-missing husband is indebted, the three women hide out in the same charming northern Spanish wine town that Gala’s mother fled 50 years ago, vowing never to return. The women are looking for a fresh start and hope their identities remain unknown, but gossip in the small town spreads quickly, unraveling their deepest family secrets and truths. The production was created by Ramón Campos, Gema R. Neira and Paula Fernández, and directed by Carlos Sedes. Longoria is also part of the production through her company UnbeliEVAble Entertainment, founded in 2005 by the actress to produce film, television and documentaries. Photo: Courtesy of the press
