Professors from private universities join the march in defense of public education

After the Student Center of the Universidad Argentina de la Empresa (UADE) supported the march tomorrow, Tuesday, April 23, in favor of Public Education because it understood “the concern” that many students stay with their careers “halfway”, they joined the adhesions of teachers from the Torcuato Di Tella (UTDT) and San Andrés (UdeSA) universities. In this sense, around 90 UdeSa professors signed a statement, shared on their social networks, where they confirm their presence in the mobilization and point out the “evident campaigns to discredit national universities and scientific research.” Professors and researchers from this private institution “join the defense of the university system as a whole and adhere to the demand for funding of public education and the demand for sustained investment in science and technology.” For its part, the UTDT did the same and almost 100 of its professors signed the petition, which also expresses “concern” about the measures imposed by the government of Javier Milei, against the financing of the public university and the national “scientific system”. In particular, we wish to note that an institution like UTDT could not function without the contribution of dozens of its professors who have been trained with excellence, in undergraduate or postgraduate studies, in public universities in the country,” says the Torcuato Di Tella University.
