Latin Grammy 2022: everything you need to know

The 23rd Annual Latin Grammy Awards 2022 will take place on November 17 at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. About the nominations, this year, 28-year-old Bad Bunny tops the list with 10 nominations including best studio album for “Un verano sin ti” and record of the year, among others. 

He is followed on the list by his compatriot, Rauw Alejandro with eight nominations. As well as Christina Aguilera, Jorge Drexler and Rosalía who were placed on the list of nominees for the Latin Grammy 2022 with seven mentions.

Marco Antonio Solis, 62, will be named 2022 Person of the Year by the Latin Recording Academy. As well as Amanda Miguel, Rosario Flores, and Myriam Hernández will be recognized with the Award for Musical Excellence, for their contributions to music during their years of career.

When is the 2022 Latin Grammy Awards and where can you watch them? 
The Latin music party will take place this Thursday, November 17 from the Michelob ULTRA Arena at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas starting at 8:00 pm with the red carpet. The Latin Recording® Academy announced that current nominees Karol G and Romeo Santos, along with Latin GRAMMY Cultural Foundation Scholars Xavier Cintrón, Valentina Garcia, Nicolle Horbath and Sergio De Miguel Jorquera will perform at the 23rd Annual Awards. While Macarena Achaga, Yalitza Aparicio, Maria Becerra, Cami, Becky G, Eden Muñoz, Miguel Angel Muñoz, Farina, Luis Figueroa, Fonseca, Kany García, Kurt, Ludmilla, Victor Manuelle, Fito Páez, Georgina Rodríguez, Alison Solís, Marla Solís, Luisa Sonza, Tainy and Adrián Uribe join as presenters. Along with performances by Ángela Aguilar, Christina Aguilera, Rauw Alejandro, Marc Anthony, Banda Los Recoditos, Camilo, Elvis Costello, Chiquis, Jorge Drexler, Silvana Estrada, Gente de Zona, Goyo, Nicky Jam, Jesse & Joy, John Legend, Carin León, Los Bukis, Mariachi Sol de México de José Hernández, Christian Nodal, Aymée Nuviola, Julio Reyes Copello, Rosalía, Sin Bandera, Carlos Vives, Sebastián Yatra, Nicole Zignago and Marco Antonio Solís.The nominees this year are distributed in 53 categories and were selected among the more than 18,000 candidatures submitted, according to the institution, which recalled that the compositions must have been published between June 1 of last year and May 31 of this 2022.
