translated from Spanish: Siddhartha: “Since I was little I liked to ask for instruments instead of toys”

Jorge Siddhartha Gonzalez Ibarra, simply known as Siddhartha, is one of the artists who surprised in the emerging indie rock scene. Coming from the city of Guadalajara, he joined the Zoé group and then decided to launch as a soloist. The truth is that the artist explores his musical facet that germinated within his childhood: “I was a musician since I remember, but at the age of 6 was that I started to exercise it, although it was in the way of play, I liked ordering instruments instead of toys” , the artist confessed in dialogue with Filo. News. Then he said: “Since I remember I liked composing, recording and producing, although I never thought I would devote myself to it and I didn’t imagine myself as the singer of my own songs. However a good day I had the impulse to get all those items saved and give them a place and a destination and that led me to record my first album ‘ Why You? ‘ and after that I did not want to do anything else. At present, the artist presented the first part of his new recording material titled “Memoria-Futuro”, which will be fragmented into two parts: Vol. 1 is already available in all digital platforms, and the second part will be revealed in September. In this context, the artist provided details about his project for Filo. News.
What do you think “memory-future” differs from the rest of the disks?
There were many changes in this album, in principle is the first that I produce in collaboration with 3 different producers, puppy Lopez, Mateo Lewis and Sergio Acosta. I composed it in some sessions that I had in 4 beaches deferents of Mexico, then the process of recording was made a part in Buenos Aires, another in Mexico City and another in Guadalajara, finally it was mixed in Boulder, Colorado. It was done in different studios, with different musicians and engineers, something that had never done, plus has a couple of very special collaborations that can be seen in the second part of the album.. I think there are many things that make it different. Why was it divided into two parts? What message did you seek to express with the letters?
I divided in two parts precisely to emphasize dividing these two stages, it seemed to me that rounded the idea the fact of first showing the part that referred to the memory and then wait to present in the future, the future. In fact I was looking for more than to express my way of seeing life, I think everything is connected, I think everything has a purpose and why, that within the disorder of life there is an order too and that the past and the future are working at the same time.

Do you consider it the “most ambitious” work at the conceptual level? Why?
Maybe it is ambitious on the subject of taking it to the visual plane, but I do not take it very seriously.. I just wanted to express my idea in a more concrete way by translating it into all aspects of the album. What would you like to show with the mini visual series that will be shown with the disc? How was that idea born?
It was an idea derived from all of the above.. Something we also felt the need to translate into the videos and divide it into those two seasons tied well with the two sides of the album. The idea was coming out little by little..  Who first raised it were Fabián and Cristobal, the directors who are directing the entire project. What are you aiming for in the future, what are the next projects?
With this start a tour that will take us to many cities and countries, some will visit for the first time. I will also produce a couple of projects outside of mine and see where this is taking us.. In this note:
