translated from Spanish: Two men are sentenced to 20 years in prison for kidnapping in Uruapan, Michoacán

Uruapan, Michoacán.- The State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) obtained a conviction of 20 years in prison, against two males, on the credit of being responsible for a 2013 kidnapping in uruapan.
The Judge of the case considered sufficient the evidence submitted by the agent of the Public Prosecutor’s Office to sentence Francisco Javier Z., and Alexis C., who, according to the evidence submitted, on 13 May of that year, in complicity of other persons, deprived Florentino M of his liberty.
During the course of the inquests, it was established that the sentenced and others, deprived the now aggrieved of liberty, when he was riding on a bicycle on one of the streets of the colony Quinta María Antonieta; he was later transferred to the Villas de la Fuente colony, where he was held in captivity. Later, relatives of the victim received calls, in which they were required to provide a monetary sum.
At one point, the aggrieved managed to untie himself and leave the home; however, he was seen by one of his kidnappers, so he was again deprived of his liberty and transferred to another property of the Sol Nacing colony where he was held captive, until he received the ransom payment.
Derived from this fact, the corresponding complaint was filed with the Specialized Unit for Combating Kidnapping (UECS), so an operational action was carried out that allowed the identification and detention of the now sentenced.
Once the judge in the case assessed the evidence presented by the public prosecutor’s office, he ruled a 20-year prison sentence against Francisco Javier Z., and Alexis C., on the grounds of his responsibility for the kidnapping offence.
