Mexico.- The House of Deputies’ Plenary has approved reforms that favor current deputies and senators in their re-election, so they could remain in office until 2030.
This initiative was carried out at 12:35 a.m. on March 18, 2020, where formalities were submitted, reforms were passed to the general laws of Electoral Institutions and Procedures and Political Parties.

The opinion states that deputies and senators who wish to re-elect theself may do so in the localities or constituencies from which they were elected, either by the multi-member route or by a relative majority.
