Doctors, nurses and health personnel working at IMSS Zone General Hospital No. 27 blocked this Thursday, March 19, Axis 2 North from Paseo de la Reforma, to demand material necessary in case of care for patients with COVID-19 coronavirus.
“We want material!” is one of the main slogans of medical staff, who said that there are no basic supplies in place to treat patients from the epidemic.

One of the nurses told Reforma that there is no antibacterial hand gel, N95 head covers, test strips, or protective goggles or suction probes.
“We are not refusing to work, only to equip us with the inputs so as not to infect ourselves and bring this disease to our relatives,” he told the newspaper.
This protest is in addition to that carried out by a group of workers of the National Institute of Respiratory Diseases (INER), who on March 17 denounced a lack of protective equipment also to deal with these cases.
