The Attorney General’s Office obtained two arrest warrants against a man and a woman who assaulted a nurse in Mexico City.
On April 17, the couple physically and verbally assaulted the nurse in the Lindavista colony of the mayor’s town of Gustavo A. Madero.
The health worker reported the offenders to the appropriate authorities.

After investigating the case, FGJ CDMX obtained two arrest warrants against the couple “for their likely responsibility for crimes of manslaughter to the extent attempted, and discrimination in the grievance of a health worker.”
In the coming hours, the capital authorities are expected to comply with both arrest warrants.
In recent weeks, several assaults have been reported, in various states, against medical personnel working in public hospitals where they care for patients with COVID-19.

Last Monday, Fabiana Maribel Zepeda Arias, head of IMSS’s Division of Nursing Programs, asked the general population to stop the attacks on health personnel in Mexico, after the Institute has documented at least 21 attacks on nursing personnel in 12 states of the country.
