In the midst of their holidays but not disconnected from the controversy that are causing the changes in the vaccination process against Covid 19, the Presiente de la República, Sebastián Piñera asked the government authorities to respect the age calendar as set out in the original calendar.
“I reiterate my request that you strictly respect the priority by age and comorability in the vaccination process, just like all our compatriots. The elders will get it very soon. Younger people have the privilege of youth,” the President wrote in a Whatsapp message that reached ministers, undersecretaries, mayors and governors and to which he had radio DNA access.
At the same time, a document with clarifications on the vaccination process for public authorities and officials was issued to ministers and undersecretaries. The document states that at the suggestion of the Covid Advisory Council and the Committee on Vaccines and Immunizations, people performing critical functions in each ministry were incorporated into the vaccination schedule in advance.
The document contains a determination that next week next week, “the timetable indicates that only stragglers over 65 and teachers will be vaccinated, so vaccination of public officials should be paused in accordance with that timetable (unless they are more than 65)”
Finally, it is established that “following the established timetable, the authorities (ministers, undersecretaries, quartermasters and governors) should be vaccinated after 1 March”
