Supporters of Félix Salgado Macedonio, as well as some Morena militants, march this noon in Chilpancingo, Guerrero, to protest against being denied registration by the National Electoral Institute (INE) as a candidate for the state’s gubernatura.
The protesters departed from Margarita Maza square in Juarez and plan to reach the city’s Zocalo, where a rally called “crossed by the defense of the Fourth Transformation in Guerrero” will be made.

Coming from the seven regions of the state, contingents of supporters aboard drive units, trucks, taxis, urvan vans, as well as in private vehicles, came hundreds of people who sympathize with Salgado Macedonio, carrying blankets and banners expressing their support, according to reports from El Sol de Acapulco.
Parallel to this demonstration, carriers from Atoyac and Benito Juárez hold a peaceful protest on the sides of the Acapulco-Zihuatanejo federal highway, supporting the licensed senator.
Also a group of taxi drivers from Hacienda de Cabañas on the Costa Chica came out to demonstrate against the decision of the INE.

Following the INE’s resolution, Salgado Macedonio said the electoral management body “was wrong” and questioned its powers to make such decisions.
Salgado Macedonio filed an appeal with the National Electoral Institute (INE) yesterday to have his candidacy restored to Guerrero’s gubernatura.
On the night of 25 March, with 7 votes in favour and 4 against, the GENERAL Council of the INE revoked the register of the morenista for not handing over reports verifying the amount, origin and destination of the resources he spent in the pre-camp period.
In addition to Salgado, the INE cancelled the registration of 48 other Morena applicants for incurring the same foul.
Félix Salgado Macedonio’s candidacy has been challenged because he faces allegations of rape and sexual abuse.
Despite accusations and protests against him, Felix Salgado was ratified by Morena as a candidate for the government.
