A new preview of “Lamb”, the new film distributed by A24, responsible for other horror films such as “Midsommar”, “Hereditary”, “The Witch”, “The Killing of a Sacred Deer” and “The Lighthouse” was released. Starring actress Noomi Rapace (“Prometheus,” “What Happened to Monday?”) follows the story of a childless Icelandic couple whose present will change when they witness a mysterious birth on their farm, which in addition to their joy, could be their “destruction,” as the synopsis anticipates.

It is directed by Valdimar Jóhannsson, in charge of the screenplay with the Icelandic poet Sjón; and produced by Hrönn Kristinsdóttir, Sara Nassim, Piodor Gustafsson, Erik Rydell, Klaudia Smieja-Rostworowska and Jan Naszewski.
When she tackled the project it was Rapace herself, who defined the uniqueness of the script in an interview with Variety. “A script like this is weird and I felt straight away that I had to do it. I’ve never done anything like this before and I can’t wait to start filming and go back to my roots in Iceland,” he said at the time.

“Lamb” was presented at the Cannes Film Festival and while early reviews are reserved for not giving too many plot details, it was praised as a “dark and atmospheric tale”, “fascinating”, “strange” and “vigorously original”. “The less you know what’s going on, the better,” detailed The Hollywood Reporter.The starring cast includes Hilmir Snær Guðnason, Björn Hlynur Haraldsson and Ingvar Sigurðsson. It opens on October 8 in theaters.
