Two young men arrested accused of stealing cows

Two young people were arrested accused of stealing at least 30 cows and six horses from a house in the Buenos Aires town of Virrey del Pino, while in their possession they found more than six firearms, including a shotgun, police sources reported today. The prosecutor Alejandra Núñez, of the Functional Unit of Instruction (UFI) 8 of La Matanza, endorsed what was done under the cover of “abigeato”, that is, the theft or theft of cattle. In total, at least 30 cows of different breeds, coats and ages, and six horses were seized. In addition, other weapons were seized such as a Stopping Power shotgun with the suppressed 12/70 caliber numbering, with 12 cartridges; a pistol with no visible marking or numbering, calibre 16; a Browning pistol caliber 9mm, with 30 cartridges intact; a Jaguar revolver caliber 32, with suppressed numbering and with 6 cartridges intact. The prosecutor ordered the arrest of the two young men and the apprehension and notification of the start of the case to seven other people, who were in the place where the animals and part of the seized weapons were located. By court order, the animals were placed at the disposal of the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs of the province of Buenos Aires, the sources said.
