Drunk driver runs over 12 cyclists in CDMX

A man was arrested by elements of the Secretariat of Citizen Security, after running over several cyclists members of a round of pilgrims who were heading from Xochimilco to the Basilica of Guadalupe, in Mexico City.

The events occurred in the Calzada de Tlalpan and La Virgen Avenue, which left a balance of 12 people injured, who were treated by paramedics of the Rescue And Medical Emergencies Squad (ERUM).

According to the head of government, Claudia Sheinbaum, the detainee was driving while intoxicated, which was referred to the Public Ministry agency.
