Next Monday, the application of the COVID-19 vaccine booster for people aged 30 to 39 will begin in Mexico City; this sector of the population will receive the biological Sputnik V and AstraZeneca.
The capital government announced that, from February 14 to 19, 10 venues will be enabled for the application of the booster dose.
The population that will be able to attend are those who received their second dose of vaccine at least four months ago, that is, before October 19;
Attendees must bring their vaccination file printed and it can be obtained from the platform https://mivacuna.salud.gob.mx

The general director of Digital Government, Eduardo Clark García, said that people will be able to go to the headquarters that is closest to their home.
He stated that all vaccines are safe; He stressed that the Sputnik V vaccine is the most applied in the city and has had good acceptance.
Downward trend in cases and hospitalizations
The general director of Digital Government of the Digital Agency for Public Innovation, Eduardo Clark García, pointed out that there is a clear downward trend in hospitalizations and COVID cases.
He indicated that in Mexico City there are one thousand 856 hospitalized; on average, he said, the reduction is 80 fewer beds per day.
At a press conference, he pointed out that the positive cases detected in kiosks, macro kiosks and health centers have been reduced by 80%; currently one thousand 800 positives are being identified on average daily, when 8 thousand were detected in this fourth wave.
“Given that I continue to see a reduction in positives, what we project is that hospital admissions will continue to fall; the positives and their fall are always announcing what we see to see in terms of hospital admissions,” he said.
Regarding vaccination, Clark indicated that 48% of the population in Mexico City already has their booster vaccine.

The Secretary of Health, Oliva López Arellano, asked to celebrate February 14 safely and using sanitary measures, such as prioritizing outdoor spaces and wearing a mask most of the time.
