Sinaloa returns to green light as the incidence of Covid-19 cases drops

Sinaloa.- From today until March 20, Sinaloa will remain at a green light, after the fourth wave of infections was declared overcome in recent weeks and the incidence of new Covid-19 cases decreased significantly. With change, greater social relaxation is allowed. Of these, 43 had been reported in the last 24 hours. The largest number of active cases (486) were located in Culiacán.  It is followed in incidence by Ahome (228), Mazatlan (207) and Guasave (58).  Only Cosalá and San Ignacio remain free of the pandemic by reporting zero active cases. However, nine others report low incidence by not exceeding a single digit the number of active cases they have. They are in that situation: Choix, Sinaloa, Angostura, Mocorito, Badiraguato, Navolato, Elota, Concordia and Escuinapa. The incidence of suspected cases is much higher. According to the epidemiological report, until yesterday there were 2,181 cases of this type throughout the state. Culiacán was the epicenter of the possible cases, as 949 patients are monitored by medical personnel for presenting symptoms similar to those of Covid-19. As of yesterday, 9,661 Sinaloans had died from complications related to the pandemic. Culiacán leads the incidence in this area, with a total of 3,508 deaths since the first case was reported. Another 1,675 people had died in Ahome from the same causes.
