Rey de Reyes chose the best in skateboarding

A day full of surprises and tricks was the one that was lived in the final of the Rey de Reyes 2022 skate tournament, a competition that year after year surprises with the quality of the athletes who participate.
The Parque de Los Reyes was once again the meeting place for the competitors, who returned to this site to end the contest after the suspension in 2021 due to the pandemic.
This year the tenth version of the most important tournament of skaters in the country was held and it was done in a big way, with great exponents who fought to stay with the first place, both in the Bowl category, and in the Street modality.
There were dozens of competitors who came from countries such as Brazil, Argentina, Colombia and Peru, in addition to Chile, filling the skatepark located in the commune of Santiago.
With a final of infarction in both categories, Josefina Tapia and Jazmín Álvarez took the first place in the Women’s Bowl and Street modalities, respectively, while Marcelo Jiménez and Jhancarlos González won the first place in the men’s category, also in Bowl and Street, respectively.
Andrés Soffia, legend of the national skate and organizer of the King of Kings, said that “in the 10 years that we have been organizing the tournament, the level has risen greatly and every time we can see more children and young people who are motivated and enjoy this experience, in something that could take them, even, to be the ones who participate in future editions”.
In total, there were more than 20 million pesos that were distributed among all the contestants of this grand final that ended the championship, presented by Monster Energy and Vans.
