Mexico adds 802 cases of COVID and 57 new deaths

The Ministry of Health confirmed this Saturday 802 new cases of COVID and 57 deaths.
According to the technical report of the agency, there have been 5 million 733 thousand 514 infections and 324 thousand 117 deaths from the disease since the beginning of the pandemic. To these are added 14 thousand 97 deaths classified as suspicious.
Health estimates that there are 4,381 active cases, that is, they presented symptoms in the last 14 days. The entities with the most active cases per 100,000 inhabitants are Aguascalientes, Baja California Sur, Yucatán and Colima.

Nationally, hospital occupancy of general beds for COVID patients stood at 4%, while for ventilator beds it is 2%.

As of Saturday, 85,784,771 people over the age of 18 – equivalent to 90% of the adult population – have received at least one dose of coronavirus vaccine.

In the case of young people between 14 and 17 years old, the authorities report that 8 million 894 thousand 16 have at least half a vaccination schedule.
