The Ministry of Health made a new assessment of the Covid-19 situation in the country, where it reported 11,216 new cases, of which 6,448 correspond to symptomatic people and 1,964 did not present symptoms. In addition, there were 2,804 positive PCR tests that were not reported.
In this way, the total number of people diagnosed with Covid-19 reached 4,286,216 and recovered patients reached 4,179,502 since the arrival of the coronavirus in Chile.
On the other hand, the death of 43 people in the last 24 hours was detailed, thus reaching 59,741 since the beginning of the pandemic. On the other hand, positivity reached 15.40% nationwide.
As for the active cases, these reached 41,448 people and pcr tests amounted to 72,174 in the last 24 hours, thus reaching the total amount of 42,335,601.
Meanwhile, there are 170 people hospitalized for Covid-19 in Intensive Care Units. Of these, 123 are supported by mechanical ventilation. In the same vein, the hospital capacity has 1,980 critical beds enabled and 230 critical beds available.
Positivity in the Metropolitan Region reached 13.52%, while the regions with the highest increase in new confirmed cases in the last seven days are Antofagasta, Araucanía, O’Higgins and Coquimbo.
