López Obrador said that the budget for the new headquarters is guaranteed, because thanks to the savings, more can be built with less money.
“Here you have this university, which gives me great pleasure, the truth, because look how beautiful, how well built. In addition, there is no corruption and therefore the cost is something incredible, because if it were done with the corruption system of before because they are contracts and end the works costing a lot, sometimes they are unfinished, they are not done well and these works are well done and are done with republican austerity. If this school were made in the system of corruption that prevailed, instead of doing this school in, I know, how much did the construction cost?, thirteen million, they would charge 50. So with 13 you make almost four,” he said.
