Vice President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner testified today as a witness after being pointed with a gun by a man yesterday when she arrived at her home. The judge handling the case, Maria Eugenia Capuchetti, showed up at her home and took her testimony. According to Télam, the magistrate arrived accompanied by prosecutor Carlos Rívolo and entered the building located in Juncal and Uruguay at 11 a.m. The three of them stayed there for about an hour. Earlier, the judge had visited the area where the assassination attempt occurred to carry out an eye inspection.
In turn, at least eight people who demonstrated last night in front of the house of Cristina Fernández de Kirchner have already testified as witnesses. In this way, the fact is investigated as “homicide qualified in degree of attempt”. For his part, Comodoro Py began to examine the cell phone of the detainee and analyzed all his messages and communications. The accused shall give an investigative statement once the court has the results of all the evidentiary measures ordered.
The defendant was identified as Fernando André Sabaj Montiel, who has already undergone a forensic medical examination that determined that he would be in a position to be investigated. In turn, he spent the night staying in a Federal Police unit.
