President of the Youth of RN, Javier Molina, charged with driving while intoxicated resulting in damages

On Monday, November 21, at the Justice Center of Santiago, the closing hearing of the investigation against the president of the Youth of National Renewal (RN), Javier Molina Cepeda, accused of the crime of driving while intoxicated resulting in damages, a fact for which he was arrested last July and released by order of the Second Court of Guarantee, will be held.
In the early hours of Saturday, July 9, Molina was traveling through the northern sector of the capital, crashing drunk and causing damage to a car with a group of people inside. Witnesses of what happened detailed that when members of the Carabineros arrived to carry out the corresponding procedure, the public administrator refused to practice breathalyzer, being arrested and released hours later.
So far, the leadership of his party, National Renewal, has not made any statement in this regard and it is unknown if there have been internal sanctions against the now accused helmsman of one of the most important base organs within the collectivity. Nor has the president of the party belonging to Chile Vamos, Senator Francisco Chahuán, publicly referred to what happened.
It should be remembered that Javier Molina worked as an advisor to the former minister of the General Secretariat of Government, Cecilia Pérez, during the second Government of Sebastián Piñera. Today he heads the RN Youth, carrying out tasks such as the “development of activities, talks and debates, taking the ideas of the center-right to every corner and attracting new leaderships.”
