CTRL+G Design Meeting in Valparaíso
Valparaiso Cultural Park, Jail 471, Valparaiso.

The event includes workshops (10:00 hrs.), author design fair (12:00 hrs.), talks (13:00 hrs.) and other surprises.
This seventeenth version of the meeting is characterized by highlighting projects and bringing together exponents of design that are contributing to sustainable development under a sustainable perspective, with the aim of rethinking, gathering and recreating design from different creative disciplines.
Among the novelties, it should be noted that the call to be part of the author design entrepreneurship fair increased its quotas.
The instance is designed to know and experience different disciplines related to design and sustainability and can be visited by all public, without registration.
On the sustainable focus of this version, Nicole Burgos, director of the meeting, said that it not only addresses the view of sustainable design, “but sustainable design, this is about how design contributes to projects that promote sustainable development, with triple impact, in the economic, social and environmental “.
In that sense, he adds that “our discipline is not only to design objects, clothing or graphic pieces; Our discipline must be executed at the beginning of the projects, apply design methodologies to understand users and translate their needs well, contribute to decision-making regarding processes and raw materials and integrate the ecosystem in the proposals, as a counterpart, such as alliances and labor options”.
Talks
For the first time, the CRTL+G Meeting opened a call to be part of the program of exponents in the talks of this year 2022, where only one person was selected. This is Dahiana Plaza, who applied with her project “Stripes”, a clothing brand that recycles garments from the free fairs of Valparaíso and Belloto, with the aim of creating upcycling garments of author design, with a process that mixes different techniques and textures.
Dhaiana will give his talk on Saturday 29 at 6:00 p.m., joining the program with Bárbara Toledo (Glasses Karün), Juan Pablo (MYSNEAKERS Customs), Fabiola San Cristóbal (Sustainable raw materials), Rodrigo Alonso (Circular design) and Vale VG (Illustration).
