French leaders complained to Chiqui Tapia for teasing Mbappe

After the consecration of the Argentine National Team in the Qatar 2022 World Cup, the images and chants of the players and national fans did not go down well in France: leaders of the runner-up wrote to Claudio “Chiqui” Tapia to stop the “undignified insults”. In the caravan with five million fans, Argentine players mocked Mbappé and company which generated anger in the old continent. Noël Le Graët, president of the French Football Federation, wrote to the AFA to end this situation, after seeing a video of the Argentine goalkeeper with a doll with the face of the French player. Faced with this situation, the leader said: “I wrote to my counterpart of the Argentine Federation, I find these excesses abnormal, in the framework of a sports competition, and I find it difficult to understand. This goes too far. Mbappe’s behaviour was exemplary,” in an interview with Ouest-France. Meanwhile, the World Cup scorer quickly decided to turn the page and returned to training with PSG for the next semester in which the most important tournaments will be defined. Economy Minister Bruno Le Maire complained: “These are undignified insults, and what does FIFA do? Sport is a matter of fair play and showing respect for others, showing respect also for losers,” in an interview with Sud Radio Le Maire and criticized that it was a “bad example of the Argentine side.” Finally, he pointed out the “cruelty” of goalkeeper Emiliano ‘Dibu’ Martínez with Kylian Mbappé in the celebration inside the dressing room, where he asked for “a minute of silence” for the striker.
