Hybrid and electric car publications grow 24% over the last year

Interest in electric and hybrid cars has been growing exponentially in recent times.
Until November of this year, more than 6,300 low and zero emission vehicles have been sold, achieving an increase of 113% compared to the same period of 2021 and more than 20 electric vehicles have been launched.
Although the figure is not relevant in the total universe of commercialization of new cars, the data show a sustained increase in this type of technology, which is consistent with the electromobility strategy indicated by the government, which indicates that by 2035 only electric cars will be sold.
In this context, the Chile Autos website showed that publications of hybrid and electric vehicles between 2021 and 2022 (between January and November) grew by 24%, with Toyota being the brand with the highest number of vehicles published, if we add its electric and hybrid models.
It is followed by Lexus, BMW, MG and Hyundai and the average price of hybrid and electric vehicles in 2022, between January and November, is $ 32,159,198 which is 37% higher than the average of 2021.
Consider that of the total number of planet-friendly vehicles published on the platform, 30% are electric and the others have some type of hybridization technology.
Regarding the most sought-after models, the ranking is composed as follows: for the electric, the Nissan Leaf is in first place, followed by the MG ZSEV and in third place the BMW i3.
Meanwhile, for hybrids the first place is taken by the Toyota Prius c, followed by two Lexus models, the CT and the RX.
