Mario Secco, on the proscription of CFK: “It is not an isolated event in Latin America”

While the pre-candidates for the next elections are being defined little by little, Mario Secco, mayor of Ensenada, referred to the proscription of Cristina Fernández de Kirchner and denounced that “it is not an isolated event” in Latinoamérica.La possible candidacy of the vice president for the next elections still remains a mystery. This morning, Mauricio Macri announced that he will not participate in the elections, and the question then focused on the figure of the former president of the Nation. In that sense, there were various comments about a proscription of Cristina Fernández de Kirchner due to the conviction for the Cause Vialidad, however, her participation in a presidential formula remains in suspense. In that sense, Secco questioned the sentence against the current vice president and warned that in Latin America it is not the first case that exists. There are examples in Latin America for us to realize that Cristina’s is not an isolated event, but has to do with a systematic issue of persecuting popular leaders,” said the mayor in a dialogue with Radio 10, adding that “they make a person who is innocent guilty of a crime.” Likewise, Secco emphasized the assassination attempt against the former president and maintained that “if we see that they do not investigate where ‘the gang of copitos’ ends, it is clear that a part of Justice is also arming itself to proscribe Cristina.”
