Justin Trudeau announces the separation of his marriage

Justin Trudeau, Canadian Prime Minister, and his wife, Sophie Gregoire Trudeau, are separating, they announced Wednesday after 18 years of marriage.
In a statement posted on their social media, the couple said they made the decision after “many important and difficult conversations.”
“As always, we remain a united family with a deep love and mutual respect for all that we have built and continue to build,” they said.
To get this in order, the couple has signed a legal separation agreement.

A statement from the prime minister’s office noted that both.
They married in 2005. They have three children: Xavier, 15, Ella-Grace, 14, and Hadrien, 9.
“They remain a close-knit family and Sophie and the prime minister are focused on educating their children in a safe, loving and collaborative environment,” the statement issued by his office said. “The family will be together for the holidays, which start next week.” Trudeau’s office asked for respect for privacy issues.
