Alberto Fernández travels to Paraguay

Argentine President Alberto Fernández resumes his agenda after the PASO and will travel to Paraguay for the inauguration of the new president, Santiago Peña, who will replace Mario Abdo Benítez, who will culminate his term in the next few hours. According to NA Fernández will attend the dinner offered by the outgoing president to heads of state and special guests, and on Tuesday he will present at the swearing-in of Peña and his vice, Pedro Alliana.The beginning of a new Constitutional Period and the anniversary of Asunción will be celebrated with the Solemn Te Deum in the Metropolitan Cathedral which will also be attended by Presidents Gabriel Boric (Chile); Luis Arce Catacora (Bolivia); Luiz Inácio “Lula” da Silva (Brazil); Luis Lacalle Pou (Uruguay); the Prime Minister of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Ralph Gonsalves and the King of Spain, Felipe VI.Al the same time, will be present the vices of Taiwan, William Lai; from El Salvador, Félix Ulloa; of Ecuador, Alfredo Borrero and the president of the House of Representatives of the Moroccan Parliament, Rachid Talbi Alami.In turn, on Tuesday, at noon, Peña and the first lady, Leticia Ocampos, will offer a lunch at the presidential residence to the heads of state present at the ceremony and in the afternoon, Alberto Fernández will return. In this way, the visit to Paraguay is the first of several international stops scheduled in the last stretch of his management. On September 9 and 10, he plans to travel to India, to participate in the G20 Leaders’ Summit, and later, on September 18 to 22, he will go to New York, on the occasion of the High Level Week of the UN General Assembly.
