Dollar Card, Savings and Qatar: the Government unified the official dollars and made them more expensive to $ 731

In the midst of the exchange pressure and the skyrocketing of the blue dollar, the Federal Administration of Public Revenues (AFIP) changed the conditions to access the foreign currency through the use of cards (debit or credit) and increased the additional perception from 5% to 25% as it applied to the “Qatari Dollar”. The AFIP, through General Resolution 5430/2023, unified the dollar card, savings and Qatar and lifted the restriction of monthly consumption per person, the quota of 300 dollars per month will no longer exist.  In this way, the exchange rate is composed of the cost of the official dollar $365.50; the collection 30% PAIS Tax $109.65; 45% perception for the income tax $ 164.48 and a perception 25% on account of Personal Property $ 91.38, which gives a total of $ 731.01. This cost is more than double the official exchange rate, but still 23% below the $945 at which the blue dollar closed yesterday. This gives an increase of 11% in a single day for the dollar paid by tourists. In turn, the amount of monthly consumption per subject will no longer be taken into account to determine what tax perceptions must be paid, all consumption by credit and debit card, as well as the purchase of the official ticket, which has a quota of USD 200, will have the same charge and with all taxes the surcharge reaches 100%.
