Mexico.- For today, the wide circulation of the tropical storm “CRISTINA”, which is located off the coast of Guerrero and Michoacán, will cause very strong and intense spot rains in the west and south of the national territory, as well as wind gusts 60 to 70 km/h and high waves of 2 to 3 meters above the coasts of Oaxaca, Guerrero and Michoacán, as well as providing atmospheric instability to the center of the country.
A low pressure channel will prevail from the north to the center of the national territory, will continue to interact with superior instability and with the ingress of moist air from the Pacific Ocean, causing strong to very heavy punctual rains accompanied by electric activity, wind gusts and possible hailstorms on entities from the northwest and center of the Mexican Republic, including the Valley of Mexico, as well as heavy pacifiers and punctual rains in northern and northeastern Mexico.
A second low pressure channel over southeastern Mexico will cause heavy showers and punctual rains accompanied by electric activity and wind gusts over Tabasco, Chiapas and southern Veracruz, as well as isolated rains in the Yucatan Peninsula.
Finally, maximum temperatures above 40oC are forecast in 9 entities in the country, and may exceed 45oC in Baja California and Sonora.
