Morelia, Michoacán.- Municipal authorities requested from the Federal Commission for the Protection of Health Risks (Cofepris) an audit of the laboratories that in Morelia carry out diagnostic tests of coronavirus (Covid 19), for presenting false results, said Roberto Reyes Cosari, Secretary of Welfare and Social Policy.
In interview and without specifying the laboratories involved or the number of these, he said that public workers have been found who in some facility were diagnosed as positive to Covid-19, but later, in another public or private laboratory, prove negative to the disease.

Reyes Cosari asserted that this phenomenon, which has taken place in various cases, prompted the Cofepris to verify the conditions and processes with which diagnostic tests are carried out in some of the laboratories that offer this service.
He reiterated that it would be until the federal unit confirms or discards malpractice from laboratories where it was alleged that “unscathed” management of Covid 19 diagnostic tests would have been had, when the list of involved will be made public aware.
