Winks towards Daza
Remember from the Government there have already been winks towards the former health authority. President Sebastián Piñera, in the framework of the commemoration of the first year of vaccination against Covid-19 -held on December 23, thanked the authorities of the Minsal and “in a very special way, the former Undersecretary Paula Daza, who we hope will be reintegrated into the combat team of this pandemic”.
The next day, the government spokesman, Jaime Bellolio, said that “it is possible that she will return to the Government but not to her former position, not as undersecretary.”
“Today María Teresa Valenzuela is the Undersecretary of Public Health, she is doing a super good job and it is very likely that Paula Daza, who has been a giant throughout the pandemic (…) that she can join the handover team on how the pandemic has been handled during this government towards the next,” he added.
